WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Please dress for your own comfort throughout the weekend! The weather varies quite a bit in New England - normal temperatures in late October are 40-60 degrees, but it's good to be ready for anything from snow to tropical heat.

  • On Friday, the welcome supper is casual - if weather cooperates, we’ll be out on the patio with s’mores (and heaters).

  • If you are joining Saturday morning's activities (totally optional), we’ll go straight from easy yoga to our walk in the woods. Please wear sturdy walking shoes for the woods and take precautions against ticks.

  • For Saturday evening, I will be wearing a Very Pretty Outfit that is a little bit fancy, and also good for dancing. I hope some of you will do the same. Most men will be wearing jackets and ties or suits.

  • Sunday farewell brunch is casual too - pj’s or traveling clothes, as you see fit.

 

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

Your children are welcome! It has been a joy to know many of them since they were just gleams in your eyes, and I’d love to have them at the party.  We will have childcare at Wheatleigh on Saturday night so that you can have a few hours of grown up time, and we’ll have games and entertainment for both small kids and bigger ones throughout the weekend (yes, including you). On Saturday we’ll have slightly separate dinner arrangements for the kids, and one combined party on the dance floor!

Due to happily high attendance, the definition of “kids” for the less-formal Saturday dinner includes next-gen guests up to age 20-ish.

If you need more customized childcare than those noted above, please say the word and we'll connect you with some additional local resources.

WHERE IS EVERYTHING HAPPENING?  

All of our events will be taking place at Wheatleigh, in Lenox, MA.  Some of you will be staying on site, but it’s a pretty small place, so most guests will be at other fantastic spots very closeby.  We’ve planned the weekend so that Wheatleigh is our home base, no extra running around required.

On Saturday evening, we will have shuttles on a constant loop between Wheatleigh and the other inns, allowing for an easy and quick flow of transportation. To allow for a maximum of carefree fun, please plan to use these shuttles on Saturday evening.
